My video playback is failing only on twitch

I am able to watch videos on every commonplace video site such as youtube, vimeo, and independent sites. Except for twitch.tv in which the player does not load. I have the most recent addition of flash and twitch.tv works perfectly on other browsers such as chrome or even IE.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

There were some reports of video not loading on TwitchSupport Twitter earlier. https://twitter.com/TwitchSupport/status/459811324080713728 and then shortly later is back to normal. https://twitter.com/TwitchSupport/status/459813350202155009

If a Twitch.tv stream is not loading try reloading the page.
