How do I get mail to send in a burst instead of right away?

I am new to Thunderbird and already like it a lot. I can't imagine I'm unique in that I actually really liked Outlook, but I got tired of buying it every year or two when I got a new computer and they wouldn't let my license transfer or they "expired" the software and it won't work with the new operating system.

In any case, I had Outlook set up so that my outgoing mail did not send immediately, but waited for the next send/receive cycle. I really liked that, as for whatever reason I guess I'm too quick or not patient enough or scattered or something I often thing of something I want to add to an e-mail a couple minutes after I've hit send. I could check my outbox and edit that mail and re-send it.

I looked, I promise I looked, but I can't seem to find if there is a way to configure Thunderbird to behave this way. Any ideas?

Use Send Later instead of Send. You can find Send Later under File on the Menu Bar in the Write window.

This article explains how this all works with the Outbox that can be found listed under Local Folders in the folder pane. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Outbox

Thanks! That was a very fast response and exactly what I was looking for. Plug for the developer: I thing BlunderDelay is exactly what I'm looking for. There is a warning that it seems no longer supported, but also that it seems to work in recent versions of Thunderbird. I am going to check it out or I will use Offline mode.

Thanks for your quick help!
