
"server has disconnected...." and it hasn't. and i can't sign in
i have had no problems with thunderbird, however since yesterday, i am unable to receive emails, save emails, or copy them to the send folder.....i have a mac with version 10.8.5
error message "server has disconnected....."
i can't seem to find help anywhere. my settings in my account r fine, my mail server is working.....

ok, this is how i solved my problem
go here and follow the directions to back up your profile http://www.maclife.com/article/howtos/how_back_and_restore_mail_thunderbird_6
then, open thunderbird and delete your account, then add the account again.
now this should work.....the profile backup is just in case stuff happens
hopefully this will work for anybody with this problem.....i think the last update screw up my account settings and i could not figure out where

first try turning off your computer and modem etc and leave them off for a few minutes and see if that resets anything.
thanx, have done this before, except this time i turned off my internet too.....and thunderbird is still unable to get my mail.....i have no problem sending mail from thunderbird tho....
