how to delete folders ?

In Thunderbird 24.4.0

I created a structure of folders and subfoldersUnder my Archive Folder. All these folders are now empty. I try to delete them with the delete touch, or with the right-click option. It does not seem to work ! How can I have them deleted, so that i can start do define a brand new structure ?

  • right-click the folder > Empty Trash
  • File menu > Empty Trash
