some filters are directing all email to a folder other than the "inbox" as it should

Why are some messages being directed to a folder other than my Inbox? Some filters are working correctly and are sent to their respective folders. Messages with no filter associated, are found in a folder that has no association with the message....into one particular folder only.

Earlier, I was unable to filter any messages to a particular folder, automatically, manually, or drag and drop.

Have you tried Thunderbird with add-ons disabled. it is on the help menu (ALT+H)
