You can check in "Windows Control Panel > Programs" for recently installed programs to see if anything from Conduit or any other suspicious software shows up.

  • Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall or change a program
  • Click the Installed column to sort by this heading

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and search for prefs that refer to this Conduit website and reset related user set (bold) prefs via the right-click context menu to the default value.

Nothing is working to get rid of "Conduit" Even Norton couldn't remove it from my computer without wanting another $99.00 for a different virus/malware program. This "conduit" is a disgusting thing, I would think Firefox would have a way of eliminating this. Nothing has worked...

First, run through the tools on Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware (All free tools)

Then, Reset Firefox. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
