If I install Thunderbird for iOS on my ipad, can this version automatically connect with my already installed Windows PC version - share address book, templates
Hi there,
I installed Thunderbird for Windows on my PC last fall. I'm very happy with it, and am considering installing the version for iOS on my ipad. I'm wondering whether the 2 versions would be able to communicate with each other. Specifically, will they be able to: share address books (I have a very extensive address book on my PC version, and would like the ipad version to have access to it), templates (have several designed on my PC that I would like to be able to share), share records of messages sent and received between both versions, etc. Is this possible? Please let me know. Thanks!

Mozilla.org does not have any version of Thunderbird and Firefox for iOS due to Apple's restrictions on the JavaScript and browser engines that can be used.
Development of Thunderbird is much less now as there is not even a version of Tb for Android when Mozilla has had Android versions of Firefox since Firefox 4.0.
Mozilla only has Thunderbird/Firefox for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX on desktop. mobile Firefox for Android and the Firefox OS for phones.

hello Shoshanah, mozilla doesn't offer a thunderbird version for ios.
Hi Phillip,
Thanks for your reply. Hmmm, thought I saw a Thunderbird iOS version available, but maybe that was just for Mozilla?..So, then Thunderbird doesn't offer any versions for either iphones or ipads? If not, does Thunderbird plan to offer these at any point in the future? Thanks again.
i'm just a normal user like you, so i can only give a personal opinion or estimate, but i think it's highly unlikely that mozilla is going to develop a thunderbird version for ios.
