I want to close one email account but don't want to loose my address book. I already have the new account installed and the address book shows up in it.
If I delete my Roadrunner account in Thunderbird will it affect the address book that shows up in my new ATT email account?

The address book is the Thunderbird address book, not roadrunner or comcast etc, the same address book services all account in Thunderbird.
SO go ahead.
But remember that if you have mail in a RoadRunner account folder in the folder pane that the folder will go with the account. All mail in the accounts folders inbox send etc needs to be moved to local folders before you delete the account.
