can't delete extension

Somehow picked up an extension that I do not want, it's creating pop ups, ads etc all over the place. The extension is PassShow 1.154

I deleted it and any newly downloaded files from the computer itself. But it is still on the extensions and there is no option to delete just "enable" or no. Even disabled I'm still getting the ads.

I have run through the troublshooting here and on other sites suggestions for getting rid of it and nothing has worked.

I even uninstalled mozzilla and reinstalled, still there!

I have run spybot and our virus protection, nothing.

How do I get rid of this thing?

Chosen solution

Malwarebytes should be able to find and remove PassShow.

Try unistall manually.

Unhide the hidden files and folders:

Go to your profile folder and close Firefox:

Enter in the extensions folder, look for that extension and delete it.

Start Firefox and see if the addon was unistalled

I have the same problem, I did the show hidden folders/etc and still couldn't remove the damn thing. I uninstalled firefox because I thought this.............thing would go away.

Any more tips? It's PassShow 1.154
