Firefox used to run well on my computer. Now it crashes at startup. I am sending the most recent crash code. Crash ID: bp-1b53943d-c2eb-4104-a3cd-7decb2140221 I use an older dual core machine and use Windows XP. Any help is greatly appreciated, I love your browser and miss it. Thanks Skymyke

Chosen solution

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Hi!

Currently that is a bug in Firefox, you can see it's very (short) progress here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=812787. Currently there is no fix for this because there is no crashing thread that tells us what is causing it.

However, I do see you are running Firefox 12.0, and I would suggest you upgrade to the latest Firefox version (27.0.1).

You can upgrade Firefox by going to www.getfirefox.com, downloading and installing it. Please report back if this fixes your crashing.

Thanks!
