I was told that mozilla has the best firewall and I have been getting a lot of popups. I understood that your firewall was what I need but since I am not very computer literate I don't know how to make sure that I got the firewall when I downloaded mozilla.

hello, if you are getting many pop-ups this sound like an issue with malware already active on your system. perform these steps:

go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc).
also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there.
finally, run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

Mozilla doesn't have firewall. If you need a Windows firewall visit a Windows helpsite such as windowsbbs.com or sevenforums.com

For help with popups in Firefox, see Pop-up blocker settings, exceptions and troubleshooting

Mozilla Firefox or the short name Firefox is a web browser only.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page and look for a good add / pop-up blocker.
