Chosen solution
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Hi CarlH,
Thank you for posting your question, is it ok if you post the name of the website that this is happening to? These steps for troubleshooting may also be helpful: Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can

Cor-el,
FYI After trying various things including safe mode erasing cache etc, I tried options, privacy and eliminated cache "line by line" if I didn't think it was needed & rebooted. Now the site works perfectly. Thanks, CHero
