hello fledder3, if the program is downloaded directly from the official mozilla.org site, then it will certainly be free of any malware.

however it also may be possible that some sort of malware is already active on her computer and infecting the browser.

in this situation i'd recommend to go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that were not installed intentionally, you don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.
