Make ALL toolbars moveable/customizable

Are there any plans underway to make each and every toolbar movable so that the bookmarks toolbar (in particular) will actually be ABOVE the tabs? Unless somewhere down the line there are plans to do away with the bleeping 'Tabs on Top', I'll be sticking with Pale Moon, because it at least affords me the option...

I'm willing to make the adjustment to T on T, but this issue 'breaks' the continuity. I don't use any toolbars that aren't built in to Fx, e.g., X-Notifier, LastPass, but I do keep the Bookmarks Toolbar visible at all times. I've used various addons to customize my UI to make the most of available real estate, but so far have found nothing to let me MOVE the BM TB.

Will be happy to include screenshots. TIA

For the moment you can still toggle the browser.tabs.onTop pref on the about:config page.
Otherwise it would be possible to rearrange toolbars via code in userChrome.css via -moz-box-ordinal-group.

Palemoon is based on Firefox code, so it seems likely that that browser will pick this Firefox code.

From what I see happening, I would say that is very unlikely. The developers are making Firefox more and more rigid and non-customizable. So far, you can set the tabs to be below the toolbars from the about:config setting - browser.tabs.onTop - set to false. That possibility will probably disappear in the future.

The current Firefox UX build already lacks this pref, so when the Australis code lands on the Firefox branch then this feature will be gone.

To both cor-el and finitarry: Thanks for the toggle in config, I had already done that.

To cor-el: "Otherwise it would be possible to rearrange toolbars via code in userChrome.css via -moz-box-ordinal-group. "

Huh???? Show me?? I don't speak much tech guru.

And what time-frame are we looking at for Austalis?

I don't WANT Chrome, (she yells, kicking and screaming). I've been loyal to "Netscape" for over a decade! I've still got my NS 6 install disk around here somewhere! That I PAID FOR!

I've been looking at migrating to Sea Monkey, ever since I was told it's just like the old Mozy Suites (which I STILL miss, for its integrated browser/email function). Is it safe to assume that 'Chromification' will eventually ruin that as well?

No set date for Australis coming to Firefox. The first projected date was Firefox 24. Now the earliest we might see it it Firefox 27 or 28.

As far as SeaMonkey goes, that isn't an official Mozilla project any longer. The group that is running SeaMonkey hasn't carried the Firefox 4 UI changes thru to SeaMonkey yet, so I think that is is possible that SeaMonkey may not get the Australis changes either.

A hundred thousand pardons to anyone I may have insulted.

I am mortified that I may have done so.

Who said anything about an insult?

I like SeaMonkey. It is not showing any signs of Australis poisoning at all. Hopefully, it never will.

finitarry said, "Who said anything about an insult?'

Someone did. MY problem is that I am fluent in Flora and Fauna--Homo sapiens, not so much. I think I speak the language, but then, out of the blue, the interface changes (much like Fx!), and I'm left to CMA.

I LOVE my dog.

And I think I'm gonna love Sea Monkey, too. If my addons work with it...and I can get the bookmarks toolbar to live where I want it to.
