What is it you are worried about ?
You undoubtedly would be best sticking with an updated and secure version of Firefox or choosing an alternative and fully updated browser.
Firefox 23.0.1 will be released any-time soon and should fix some known issues. Firefox 22 is now unsupported and not secure. Any security fixes are made public and so become easier to exploit
- Install an older version of Firefox

Please visit mturkforum.com and look at all the complaints. Search today's "Great Hits" thread Firefox. Also, please address my question. I turned autoupdate off, but not before it downloaded this version and I don't want it to install.
hello, for details on why this blocking mechanism was introduced in firefox please refer to Mixed content blocking in Firefox.
if you'd like to generally turn of mixed content blocking nevertheless, enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named security.mixed_content.block_active_content. double-click it and change its value to false.
Does no one know where the updater downloaded on my hard drive?
just apply the update and take the minute to disable mixed content blocking afterwards as described above if it causes you too much hassle on mturks.com... (it would be even better to contact amazon's support and ask them to implement the process in a totally secure/encrypted way).
Does no one know where the updater downloaded on my hard drive? Did you read the articles I linked to in my first post ?
Firefox has a user base of around 1/2 billion. If it works flawlessly for 99% of those people that still leaves millions unhappy. Some of those with problems will however in fact be seeing an issue with a site or third party software rather than a direct Firefox problem.
Give Firefox 23 a try. If you have problems report them here and see if they can be resolved.
