Does Firefox work with windows 8 touchscreen technology?

Posted

Considering purchasing all-in-one touch screen pc and want to know if Firefox browser works well with that technology.

Chosen solution

yes that's about right. as the article linked in my prior reply said the touch interface is currently available in early development builds, which are primarily for developers and very advanced users & not recommended for daily use. firefox 26 will come to the aurora channel in mid-september an to beat end of october - these build would give you the chance to test and experience the new layout in a more stable form (provided the timetable holds).

hello, firefox developers are still working to integrate the touch interface for windows 8 (note: firefox will not run on windows RT devices though!), which are expected to land later this year in the firefox 26 release.

Question owner

So if windows 8 touchscreen is purchased now, IE will need to be used until Firefox 26 is rolled out. Am I thinking straight?
