Install the official version of Firefox which you can download from Mozilla.

If you want to do automatic updates, then do this:

1. Go to the Firefox menu
2. Go to options
3. A dialog box will come up, go to the advanced tab
4. Go to automatically check for updates.

If you want to update it yourself, then when you want to update:

1. Go to the Firefox menu
2. Go the the help menu
3. Then go to about Firefox, and then check for updates.

^ that is disabled in the Ubuntu Firefox version. Ubuntu Firefox gets updated from Canonical, not from Mozilla.

Thank you for that. I wasn't sure what Ubuntu was, I thought it was similar to the regular Firefox.

I've installed it from Software Center.

I'm trying another distro (elementaryOS) and i'm trying to install a clean version of Firefox.
