I've been told one should not use more than one anti virus. I just bought avast and want to know if I can keep FF on computer?

Chosen solution

The good news is, Firefox is a web browser, not an antivirus program, so yes, you can use Firefox and Avast together.

Were you previously using a different antivirus program that installed a toolbar in Firefox? You might want to remove those as part of your switch. You can review and disable or remove toolbars on this page:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

Does that work?

Firefox only contains some phishing and malware protection.
