What are the OCSP settings?

Thanks cor-el for your reply. Unfortunately I do not understand the Help page indicated. I have the box ticked against "Use the OCSP to confirm the current validity of certificates". Is it safe for me to untick this?

No, you should leave the box to enable OCSP ticked, but the second box below it shouldn't have a check-mark.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps in case your security software is causing problems.
