I inadvertently downloaded a virus while trying to install a flv player. I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it. I have a folder in my profiles called fajuybvp.default and in this is a file called startupCache.4.little which, when googled, is flagged as the virus that collects banking details. Can you please verify if this is a genuine firefox file please regards

Chosen solution

hello, it is a legitimate file created by firefox when it is located in %localappdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\XXXXXXXX.default\startupCache.

if you suspect you're having issues with malware, run a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner and microsoft safety scanner.
