Hmmm, when I check "Restore the Menu bar in Firefox" I see this is different on MacOS X than on Windows, where I can turn the menu bar on and off like other toolbars. That article mentions Firefox not being the active application. If you click on the displayed page, does that help??

Try to remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Go to "~/Library/Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist)
