Firefox Extensions Disappear When I Open Firefox Again

When I first start my computer I can turn on Firefox and all of my extension I have installed will be displayed. Then when a close Firefox I continue to use my computer. When I open Firefox again, most of my extensions are not displayed. I am using Firefox 19.0.2 and this happens every single time.

This never used to happen, only recently.

I uninstalled Firefox and then installed it again. It works fine now. Thank you for all of your help.

Sometimes the file that stores toolbar customizations becomes corrupted and fails to update properly at the end of your session. You can rename the file and customize from scratch.

Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using

Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button

Switch back to Firefox and Exit

Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename localstore.rdf to something like localstore.old

Restart Firefox. Hopefully now your changes will be remembered.

That didn't work. I tried it with the same results. I am going to try reinstalling Firefox.

I'd be curious whether if you disable "Extended Statusbar" the other extensions work normally, i.e., I'm not sure they are all compatible.

You can disable individual extensions here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
