about tracking by some addons by collecting visited sites url,ip etc

in review of some addons user suggest to not to use that addon because that addon track you. in review user said ;Please carefully READ the "Privacy Policy" text near the download button. The addon tracks ALL sites you visited. is this may be harmful us if some addon track us ,some lines from privacy police is following

Harmful in what manner are you concerned about?

If they were tracking you any more than something like with Google searches, I doubt if that add-on would be allowed at AMO.
