The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

I used the reset twice didn't fix that problem
you can check these settings in "about:config" (typed into the url address text box)
browser.download.manager.retention | user set | integer | 0
if it doesn't exist, create it and restart firefox clearing all cache prior.
upon further review, you will have to disable the new user interface.
browser.download.useToolkitUI | user set | boolean | false
you could also change:
browser.download.panel.removeFinishedDownloads | user set |boolean | false
,but this is redundant as nothing is stored.
Modified
that worked , thank you very much
