text selection, flickering like microsoft word

randomly one day it came up with a change of settings for selecting text .. everytime i click anywhere on a page i get a "line" that shows up everytime .. i cant change the settings back and its annoying

heres a pic look at the right side where he word "answered" is to give yu an idea of it

hello, please press F7 in order to leave caret browsing mode - then the behaviour should be back to normal...
