hello rachel, firefox 3.6.28 was the last version to run on macs on the powerpc architecture. just download it & install it on top of your current installation - your personal data should still be available afterwards.
you could also switch to the mozilla based browser by the tenfourfox project which is still kept up to date, but the downside is that it doesn't support plugins: http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
Firefox no longer works with Mac OS X 10.4 or PowerPC processors

Hi,
I am having the same issue with firefox. i have updated, but it will no longer open on my windows 7, 32 bit computer.. please help!
Hi ellehcorodaznava, Can you please explain your problem with version information and what is really happening?
Cheers!
Hi ellehcorodaznava
This thread is about updating Firefox by accident on the old Mac that has a PPC processor that doesn't support current Firefox versions.
You appear to be using Windows 7, so this is quite differently.
So could you please start a new thread for your question?
Then you can provide more information like your operating system and installed extensions and installed plugins.
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
