I cannot open gmail with firefox (IE works fine), I get bunch of strange symbols like this: �'%0��?����F?�e=�?��r?�1, this symbols also apear when i try to log out from google.

Chosen solution

You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page and reset all bold user set network.http prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu -> Reset.

Check at least these:

  • network.http.proxy.keep-alive: true
  • network.http.accept-encoding: gzip,deflate
