What website is this that you are having this issue on? If this happens in both Firefox and internet Explorer, I'm thinking this is more an issue with the website itself. You can try to start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode and test.

It is on ebay and on both firefox and explorer. I can bid on my husbands computer which is on the same router and on my phone but not on the internet. I have called ebay and they don't have a clue what to tell me.

Well, let's see if we can't get this working for you on your computer :) I'm assuming you can get on the internet and access E-bay, you just aren't able to place a bid, correct? I would read the article Websites look wrong or appear differently than they should, and try following all the steps listed there. Thank you so much for trying to help me. I can get on the internet and I can access ebay. I am just not able to place a bid. the curser will go into the bid window but when I try to put the numbers in it just won't take them. I am not too savy on the computer as I am much older than the average person. So I was able to check java and it is checked so I think that is ok. I got onto websited look wrong but I don't understand what to do and I am terribly afraid to try anything for fear of messing things up.

I did everything but the safe mode. I am terrified to do that one because I have no idea how to undo it if necessary. You are so nice to try to help me. Is it really possible to fix this? I feel like I have gone as far as I feel comfortable

Problem solved.My husband came in and noticed that the number lock was was disabled. I can't thank you enough for all your help.Hope my solution helps someone else with the same problem.
