I am using fedora 16 having firefox 7.0.1.What I want is to set the proxy settings permanently i.e.even after I reboot the system.

Actually I am using a virtual machine.I have the fedora 16 in it as a guest OS and it has the firefox 7.0.1 browser.I set the proxy settings but what happens is everyttime I reboot the system I have the manual again edit the proxy settings they are not permanent.Can anyone tell me why or how do I fix this one?

You shouldn't be using such an old version of Firefox. Can you update to Firefox 12?
