Firefox refuses to remember: Open any RTF-file with Microsoft Word.

I checked the box in the dialog window: Always open rtf files with Microsoft Word and I also checked the Firefox preferences, but I have to find Microsoft Word every time when I want to open a rtf-file (and that is quite often).
