How can I edit searh history without delete all of it?
Is there a way of just editing out the few search items in the list(s) I don't want any more?

If you want to remove saved data from a drop down list then use these steps:
- Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
- Highlight an entry in the drop down list
- Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Yes, there is a way to eliminate that history that you want to delete. It's quite simple. Open Firefox, if it's closed. Then click with the mouse on the orange firefox botton above left. Perfect, now go to chronology and click once. Now you have to decide which history (today, yesterday, etc) to read. In any case, right-click the site you want to delete and then choose the option: eliminate this site.

Thats for URL/Download/Tab/Bookmark history's. I know how to play around with those.
What I want to edit are the "Search" history's.
On my web mail; I have a mail search, Yahoo search (the sponsor of my Rogers Email), and Google search. Some of the names in each of those fields have been mixed up. Also some of these names pop up on other sites "search" field. Now I get in trouble when a xxx porn star name, or something more crude pops up in the "search" field while my family start searching the weekly grocery flyers on those type sites.
What file on the Hard disk are these list stored under and can I view/edit them?
