I have to do that often and never had to before since the latest 10.0.2 update. I have a Mac running 10.6.8. Thanks
try the following in about:config
type in the address bar about:config
then press the button i'll be careful i promise
then right-click on the about:config page to open the right-click context menu and choose New then Boolean to create a new Boolean preference, name it:
network.manage-offline-status
and give the Value: false
exit firefox and restart-it.
EDIT: see if this (network.manage-offline-status) exist all ready in about:config before create it, press the button i'll be careful i promise
and then type in the bar network.manage-offline-status)
thank you

did the about: config thing and it didn't change the fact that on reboot and start up of Firefox it defaults to "work offline" Very frustrating as this has never happened before.
Thanks for your assistance.
