I recently upgraded firefox to version 9 and find the home icon on the far right side of the window. Can this be moved?

Chosen solution

  • Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize"
  • If the menu bar is hidden on Windows or Linux use "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
  • Drag the Home button to the position to the left of the location bar.

See Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars in order to move toolbar items to other positions.

Cheers!

"view > toolbars > customize" does not bring up anything that manipulates the home icon position. "firefox" is not a menu item. the "options" menu has no setting for "toolbar layout". You can't be looking at the same version I am. Version 9

You can either use the F10 key (or hold down Alt) to bring up the menu bar and use "View > Toolbars > Customize" or use "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" if you have the orange Firefox button visible or right-click empty space on a toolbar to bring up the Customize window.
