firefox keeps opening a second page telling me it has blocked a site from redirecting to yet another page

Everytime I move around a site or open a new one, a smaller sized firefox page appears over the page I want. It looks just like the original firefox page, with a different link, and a message saying firefox stopped this page from loading. It's driving me crazy. The insert is for ads and surveys. If this continues I will have to look for a better browser.

See:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
