Expand bookmark folders by default
i press Ctrl+D and a very annoying little **** comes up on the top right corner of my screen, waiting for me to press the tiny arrow button to expand the folders view, so i could select a folder where to save my bookmark...
the question is.. WHY THE **** ISNT THE THING ALREADY EXPANDED, SO I DONT HAVE TO CLICK THE ARROW ALL THE TIME????? :s
example: http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/vsfnnay9/moz1.JPG
THIS NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED BY DEFAULT !!!!!! like so: http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/f8ongfks/moz2.JPG

That is not designed into Firefox. If you do not want an Add-on, then you are confined to what is offered within Firefox.
An Add-on will do that and more: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-bookmark-here-2/?src=ss
- After installing, set options Add-ons > Extensions, click on extension, click Options; particularly those in the Panel tab of the Options window
- See image below this reply to see what you can get with CTRL+D

Not related to your question, but...
You may need to update some plug-ins. Check your plug-ins and update as necessary:
- Plug-in check --> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
- Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in: Installing (or Updating) the Shockwave plugin with Firefox
- Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape: Installing/Updating Adobe Reader in Firefox
- Shockwave Flash (Adobe Flash or Flash): Updating Flash in Firefox
- Next Generation Java Plug-in for Mozilla browsers: Installing or Updating Java in Firefox

why cant they build stuff into it? stuff like exif, text2link, new tab homepage etc.. thats like essential browsing...
To keep down the bloat. Every user has features that they consider important, while the next user does not. That's the whole background of Firefox, a good browser with extensions and configurability by the user.

intelligent people dont care about bloating or whatever... if they have chosen firefox, then they expect to get the best browsing experience, but if they need to come into a help forum to ask stuff about common sense, then they get really pissed off !
