Firefox starts with a home page in Chinese script!
Whenever I close Firefox then restart it I get taken to a homepage which is not my own (one filled with Chinese script!). I've tried the obvious things like resetting my home page, starting with a new profile, restarting in safe mode with preferences reset to default etc., but as soon as I open Firefox again it still goes to this page. Can anyone help?

Fixed - but the only way I could do it was by uninstalling firefox then downloading it again. Thankfully I backed up my bookmarks...

Additional - I've run a full virus scan, and found nothing.
I've cleared the cache and deleted all my cookies. Still doing it!

Make sure that you haven't selected an UTF-16 encoding, but an UTF-8 or Western (ISO-8859-1) or Windows encoding.
- Firefox > Web Developer > Character Encoding
- View > Character Encoding
Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

Hi,
Thanks for your help - I've tried that but it doesn't seem to change anything - as for encoding...all other pages work fine, and I can go where I want once Firefox has started...but it always starts at http://www.3932.com/?k no matter how many times I reset the home page.
Might clearing all history and preferences help? (Although I really don't want to lose my history - it's very useful!)
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Thanks, I'll try it - I've already done a full scan with Sohpos, but other malware detectors can't hurt.
Tried all those - spent all day running malware/adware removal programs, and taken out a lot of nasty stuff that shouldn't have been there.
But the problem persists. Any further clues?
