edited to say:: I can't find the post where I read this advice, so I can't namecheck the person who suggested it. I'm so sorry about this because you are a lifesaver! Installing the latest version of Roboform fixed the problem totally and immediately.  :D

Since installing the last update (8.0) Firefox crashes on start-up, every time.

At the same time I also disable Foxy Proxy add-on.

I have tried Safe Mode but get the same problem. Sometimes it gets as far as the 'well this is embarrasing' start page, but whatever I do at that point it still crashes. Mostly it doesn't show at all, but just produces a crash dialogue box.

Chosen solution

Since posting the question above I have also tried uninstalling Firefox, restarting the computer, then re-installing Firefox.

Exactly the same crash is still happening! :(
