FF 7.0.1:Scroll Lag, all websites, with all EXT & Plugin's disabled, but no scroll lag when in safe mode (virus scan done) - What should I check next?

Chosen solution

One change when using Firefox's safe mode is that hardware acceleration is disabled.

Resetting toolbars and controls, and user set preferences may also need considering. What about the theme if any that you use, try with the default theme.
