How to disable what makes Foxfire automatically open

When ever I click on an internet item, Foxfire opens. I want to use Safari and do not want Foxfire to open automatically!

Chosen solution

You can bring up Safari and anything done within stays within Safari.

When you have another application call for web file your default browser will be used. You can only have one default browser.

To make Safari your default browser you will have to do that from within Safari. Use help there and search for "default browser" or you should be able to find it yourself:

Gear wheel > Preferences > Default browser > (choose Safari in the drop down)

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Default_browser

especially if you want to make Firefox your default browser once more
