When I open my email account a Remember Password option appears. How do I stop this?

Chosen solution

There are two scenarios of your problem:

1) IF you do not want Firefox to Remember your Username & Passwords for any website, do this:

  • click Firefox button and click Options (or File Menu -> Options)
  • Security tab -> Remove Checkmark from Remember Passwords for sites
  • click OK on Options window

2) IF you want Firefox to Remember your Username & Passwords but you Do Not Want it to Save them for some specific websites (in other words if you want to prohibit Firefox from saving your Username & Passwords for some specific websites), do the following:

  • go to the website
  • Enter your Username & Password and click Sign-in or Log-in button
  • When Firefox's Remember Password prompt appears, click the drop-down Remember Password button and select Never Remember Password for This Site
  • Make Firefox remember usernames and passwords

Check and tell if its working.

Not related to your problem but your Flash plugin is quite older. You need to update it.

When Downloading Plugins Update setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, Google Chrome, etc.)
