I have done everything to try to rid of speedbit without success. I have to stop using Firefox/uninstall to rid it. How can I fix it and come back to Firefox?

How do I get rid or speedbit. I uninstalled all of their programs, followed all different suggestions unsuccessfully. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox too. I ready to go back to IE but have always trusted FF more until now. Help

Nothing seems to work.

I have (a) Done precisely what upk_singhm said in a variety of posts

           (b) Used Regedit to get rid of all references to speedbit
           (c) Uninstalled anything and everything to do with Speedbit

I even used speedbit's own utility - THAT WAS a disaster - should have known better - it actually renamed the Google search in the search bar to speedbit.com ... very nasty indeed.

STILL COMES BACK!

This is evil stuff ..... will never, ever have anything to do with DAP or speedbit again. Strongly suggest everyone ditches it pronto.

I finally got rid of speedbit. I copied my favorites into my downloads file. I had to uninstall firefox completely (be sure when it shows to also delete favorites you must say delete, that is why you saved a copy into other folder).

I also searched all files on my hard drive for speedbit and deleted each and every file and folder that was attached to speedbit. I did this because I thought my uninstall and reinstall didn't work, but I think it was because the first time I uninstalled firefox I chose to keep my favorites. So I don't really know if you need to do this step.

Then go back on line (used IE) and install firefox as new.
