purchased new garmin gps and they require downloading there program and it is incompatible with firefox. what now?

I need to register new garmin gps and after downloading garmin registration program and allow me to update gps, firefox box appears stating download is not compatible with Garmin Communicator plug in.

See the Garmin website for an updated version of their Plugin, one that is compatible with Firefox 5.
