I have Windows 7 Home Premium, service pack 1, installed on my computer. My system started freezing shortly after installation of Firefox 5. The problem was corrected after I finally uninstalled Firefox.

I am curious about your situation. I just built a new machine and am having freeze problems... not reboot or anything... the whole Operating System freezes and I have to power the machine down with the power button. When frozen I have no access to machine via keyboard or mouse. I am using Win 7 64-bit Home Premium.

Oddly I have built 3 other machines using Win 7 and they have no troubles. Like the one I am typing on now. I am asking because I am trying to eliminate possibilities before I do a fresh re-install of Win 7.

Sorry, but I found my problem to be a bad ram module. I replaced my PC memory and have experienced no further problems. Firefox5 was just a coincidence.
