Won't ask to remember passwords

Firefox won't ask to remember any passwords. I have remember-passwords selected on the Security tab and there are no exceptions. I know some of the sites I want to save do not block password saving because my home copy of Firefox saves them. I recently changed workstations which is when this problem arose.

try the "remember password" at squarefree.com/bookmarklets, for which I use via a keyword bookmark of "remember:".
