When browser is re-opened it goes to the last website viewed, instead of the homepage, how can I fix this?
When I close the browser then re open it it is still on the last website viewed before closing, how do i make it go back to the homepage?

Try this:
Tools menu > Options > General tab > "When Firefox starts"
If that has "show windows and tabs from last time" change it to one of the other options.
If that already is set to show your home page, Firefox might not really have shut down all the way...
