why the new tab is not working?

When I click the plus (+) sign on the tab or click File>New Tab, a new tab is not opening.

This issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Your system details show that toolbar in the user agent as AskTbAUD/3.12.2.16749
