I have just noticed when I am in a secure site I cannot see the padlock down on the right-hand side of the toolbar

This could have happened when Mozilla upgraded recently. It asked questions & it asks me if I want to delete cookies everytime I close firefox. I also don't seem to have a google toolbar now only AVG & Wikipedia at top bar. No padlock to-day when I was in secure site twice.

Hi,

Thank you for your help, I have tested it and found the new Icon and see the gray one is not encrypted, the blue one is and the green one is the most secure of all. I preferred the older version of Mozilla Firefox.
