d/loading f/fox 4.0 almost crashed my xp; when i clixk on f/fox i get error connection lost from server

I tried to d/load f/fox 4.o and my computer almost crashed save a blue screen that shutdown computer. I cant click on f/fox icon; get error unable to find firefox.com. REst of my computer is ok and yahoo can be d/loaded.
