how do I get my tabs back after a crash?

Sometimes when the browser crashes, I don't get the recover session box, so all the tabs that were open are lost. This time there weren't that many open, but my memory is not good enough to remember them . . . UGH! The Display Closed Tabs List doesn't work in those circumstances either. Using history SUX, because if a few of those tabs have been open from daZe ago, they don't show up unless they've been accessed recently. Sorting History is really a mess, and I can't be the only one with this issue. What is the secret to finding those tabs again?

Have you tried this:

  • In the location bar, type about:config then enter;
  • You will see a warning about acessing preferences. Acknowledge it, and proceed to access that area;
  • Type browser.tabs.warnOnClose in the Filter line at the top, and that pref will appear. Change the value to TRUE if it's set to FALSE.
  • Restart Firefox.

Hopefully, this shouldn't happen to you again after this is done.

Sorry I'm just now seeing your reply. I looked and it's already set to TRUE . . .

Thanks anyway!
