I am used to having a live news feed on my Mozilla home page. I went from 3.6.16 to v 4 and it is gone. I don't see how to find it again. Why must upgrades put us through all this? (another question I realize) I prefer the look of v3.6.16 so went back to it but it remains gone. Any help appreciated, I'll go back to v4 if I can add this back in. TIA.

Chosen solution

  1. Click on the following link - http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml?edition=int
  2. Make sure that "Subscribe to this feed using" is set to "Live Bookmarks"
  3. Click the "Subscribe Now" button and it will then prompt you to save the live bookmark, by default on the bookmarks toolbar.

Not quite as elegant as before when the news feed was a ever-present button on display. That way did not need to use bookmarks, but I'll take it! Thanks TonyE

I discovered this problem the other day. Today I tried bookmarking a couple of pages and Firefox refused to save them. So I followed the procedure found here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Bookmarks%20not%20saved?s=bookmarks&as=s

Basically, deleting those two files had the additional benefit of resetting the rss feeds that I have as well. Might work for some, might not.
